Kinwai completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of
California, San Diego in 2021, followed by a Master of Food Science at Monash
University in 2024. He gained experience as an R&D Officer in the food industry and
as a Research Officer in academia. He joined the SMaC group as a PhD candidate
in 2025. His research focuses on composite materials based on graphene oxide and
polysaccharides.
