Mahnaz Dadkhah Jazi

Mahnaz Dadkhah Jazi is undertaking her second PhD part-time in the Dusan Losic Research Group, where her research focuses on electrochromic smart windows, advanced thin-film coatings, and functional nanomaterials, while completing the writing of her thesis. She holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry and has extensive expertise in materials chemistry, nanomaterials synthesis, thin-film fabrication, and advanced surface modification techniques.
With more than ten years of professional and research experience, Mahnaz has developed strong expertise in inorganic and organic synthesis, photocatalytic semiconductor nanomaterials, microfabrication, and electronic device fabrication including smart windows, solar cells, and sensors. Her technical skills include sputter coating, spin coating, thermal evaporation, photolithography, and atomic layer deposition (ALD), alongside operation and maintenance of advanced laboratory equipment such as glove boxes, mask aligners, plasma cleaners, and thermal evaporators.
She has authored more than 20 ISI-indexed publications and achieved an h-index of 15 according to Google Scholar. Her expertise also includes advanced materials characterization using SEM, EDX, XRD, FT-IR, Raman, UV–Vis, and TGA techniques, as well as laboratory management, chemical waste handling, mentoring postgraduate researchers, and development of functional coatings for industrial and food packaging applications.
