She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines. Currently, she is engaged in research focused on the production, functionalization, and applications of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles derived from biowaste sources.
Her research interests include material synthesis for nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, magnetic hyperthermia for cancer treatment, theranostics, and multimodal imaging agents.
